With Girija’s permission, I am humbled and happy to write about the goosebump conversation we had after the Mai-Tri session I gave her.
During the last week of the MTIM (Mai-Tri Intensive Movement), when Girija shared her current issues with me, she explained that she had type II diabetes, which she had been living with for a long time, and recurring skin rashes that would come and go. To manage her diabetes, she said she was doing practices, eating less sugar and starch, but also admitted that she sometimes ignored her diet too much.
During the session, it felt as if something was trying to hide in the corners of the space that I perceived as the crown chakra; something dark and edgy. I then realised that she was hiding her own shadow side, and with that came a lack of self-acceptance and self-love.
I received the healing words that were meant to repair the chakra: “I am hiding in love.” I loved those words – it sounded like a positive affirmation. The message felt very clear: “Do not hide your shadow side. If you want to hide, hide in love and total acceptance.”
As is often the case with inner messages, these words seemed almost contradictory. How can we “hide” in love when love is the very essence of openness, freedom, and connection? Yet inner messages often speak through feeling rather than literal meaning. Imagine completely resting in love—melting into it, feeling utterly accepted and protected. Wouldn’t such a state naturally allow you to open more fully to life?
Knowing that skin rashes can be a symptom of poorly managed diabetes, I went straight to the pancreas after working on the crown chakra. Then I heard the words – “My father robbed me. At the same time, I saw many diamonds. Was she robbed of something valuable, as many diamonds were entering her third chakra, which came from Mohanji. Everything became bright and shining. I focused on the entire third chakra, and it became radiant, sparkling like diamonds.
The heart, however, seemed to withdraw, as if it wasn’t home. I noticed her fear that the life being given through the healing would also be snatched away again, just as the “diamonds,” symbolic of shining brightly and being one’s authentic self, seemed to have been taken away in the past.
Then I received the words, “It will all go fluently.” I understood that she would now come home in her own heart and finally feel at home within herself. I saw a safe place filled with joy and laughter and a picnic table. After the session, I shared everything with Girija and asked what made it difficult for her to control her diabetes. She replied that cravings and a lack of time to prepare healthy food were the main obstacles.
I told her that her heart now felt like a safe space and that if she placed a strong intention there, the process of gaining control would go fluently; not through suppression, but through a sincere intention and trust that she would be helped and guided along the way. I also suggested taking more Mai-Tri sessions for the same theme.
Then I asked her in what way her father could have robbed her of her diamonds, not to find a culprit or judge him, but to become aware of a possible pattern. We often fail to see flaws in our parents because we love and admire them, or simply because we are so used to their behaviour that it seems normal to us. At first, she could not relate 74to the message about her father to anything. She described him as a calm, wise and spiritual man, introverted and always composed.
To shed some light on the subject, I explained that the “diamonds” were symbolic of self-worth and the ability to shine brightly as her authentic, vibrant, happy and courageous self. She could relate to the feeling that there surely was a lack here. She did need this joi de vivre (joy of living), but the father issue remained vague.
Although I briefly questioned my inner guidance, experience had taught me to trust it. A few days later, I sent her a message, “Dear Girija, how do you feel? I have a question. Have you thought about which ‘diamonds’ you may have lost because of your father’s attitude towards life, again not to judge him, but to become aware of a pattern. Diamonds shine. We can only shine when we accept both the good and the ugly and allow ourselves to be our complete, exuberant self. Was he perhaps living in a grey zone? Not shining brightly, but always composed? Suppressing feelings? Avoiding conflict? Lacking openness in communicating emotions?
Her reply was remarkable: “Thank you, Bharatiji. I got the point. I was thinking about that story of the diamonds. My father was a man of wisdom and spirituality, but he seldom communicated about it and was mostly silent. We could never really develop from that wisdom because it remained unused and unshared. I admired his character and calmness and became like him. Later I understood that if you have knowledge and capabilities, you should use them rather than keep them locked inside a box.
Since you repeated that point, it gave me an insight. I reflected deeply and came to a conclusion. I developed, but lacked confidence and self-respect. I never really knew life despite being born to a great father whom I admired all my life. He never communicated, avoided conflicts and lived in a grey zone. His feelings remained suppressed. Sometimes I feel like an underdeveloped child inside; detached from the world. I thought that was a good character trait. Now I see it differently. It is a roaring lesson. The robbery was not about material diamonds, but about life itself. I would probably have become exactly like him if Mohanji had not appeared in my life.”

Her insight was profound.
I responded, “Wow, this is an amazing insight. Thank you so much for sharing. Sometimes people are very wise, but choose suppression as a way of dealing with our shadow side and with confrontations. In trying to maintain harmony inside and outside, they may unintentionally rob themselves and others of the joy of life itself. Instead of expressing emotions constructively, they hold everything back out of fear of anger, aggression, violence or conflict. In doing so, they often stop feeling and communicating their emotions altogether.
What remains can look like peace, but is often a form of pseudo-peace, quietly feeding on the system, sometimes even physically. True harmony is not found in suppression but in acceptance. We are not bad people when we live like this. We genuinely believe we are doing the right thing. I was like that too. It is painful to discover it, but even more painful never to discover it at all.”
Girija replied, “This is a beautiful reflection. I need to read it many times to absorb its inner beauty and essence. Actually, it is me you are describing unconsciously. My father was very hardworking and silent. He carried all his inner and outer traumas by himself. In my childhood, I saw him sit in deep meditation for hours. I thought only fathers did such things. He had very few friends, was extremely disciplined and never misspoke. I thought he was the ideal father. So I suppressed myself too. I became afraid of the world, afraid of situations, afraid of the unknown. Fear became my constant companion. He did not do it deliberately. It was simply his nature.”
Then, unexpectedly, Girija shared something that gave me goosebumps.
Her mother had passed away in 2023. Her father had passed away thirty years earlier. During the time her mother was seriously ill, Girija found herself almost completely alone, except for her young daughter. She was caring for her mother at home and administering IV fluids. One night, her father appeared to her, not visually, but through clear inner communication.
She heard him say, “Get some sleep. I will take care of her until morning.”
According to Girija, he explained that after his death he had undertaken severe penance and eventually received the grace to assist her when she needed help the most. He told her that through those years of penance, he had received the darshan of Mohanji, who allowed him to help and protect her during that difficult period!
When she shared this with me, everything suddenly came together. The message from the healing session no longer felt symbolic alone. It felt as though her father had not only come back to protect her when she was vulnerable, but perhaps also to give back what had unintentionally been lost.
The diamonds.
Her confidence.
Her self-worth.
Her ability to shine brightly and fully as herself.
When I heard her story, I had goosebumps all over.
And perhaps that was the deepest message hidden within the words, “My father robbed me.”
Not because he intended to, but because sometimes even the people we admire most unknowingly pass on their limitations along with their gifts and perhaps through love, awareness, healing and grace, those diamonds can finally be returned.
After the three Precision Recovery sessions, we continued with three Immunity Shield sessions, as the underlying issues ran deep. On the day of the final session, Girija had gone to bed earlier than usual. I called her to ask whether I could give the scheduled session immediately, as I unexpectedly had half an hour free.
Later, Girija told me something remarkable – Just before I called, she had been dreaming that Mohanji was coming to her. As she woke up, she wondered, “What is this? Could Bharati perhaps be doing Mai-Tri? At that exact moment, she received my message asking whether I could give the Mai-Tri session right then and there.
For both of us, it felt like a beautiful confirmation that something much greater was orchestrating the process. During those three additional sessions, much more healing took place around the old wounds connected to her father.
In one experience, Mohanji took her out for a picnic, most probably the same image of a joyful picnic place that had appeared during the very first healing session! Later, he held her lovingly like a baby, allowing deep layers of pain, fear and abandonment to dissolve. Mohanji really took up the role of a loving Father!
What was perhaps even more extraordinary was that the healing did not stop with Girija herself. According to her experience, the heart chakra wounds of many generations before her were healed simultaneously. The process that had begun with a simple message, “My father robbed me,” unfolded into something far greater than personal healing alone.
It became a journey of restoration, not only for one person, but for an entire lineage. When Girija later reflected on the process, she said, “With you, I had the most intense sessions.”
As I reflected on everything that had unfolded, I felt deeply humbled. The paths we walk as Mai-Tri practitioners are often mysterious, beautiful and full of unexpected grace. Again and again, I am amazed by the insights, healing and transformation that emerge in ways I could never have anticipated.
Above all, I feel immense gratitude to Mohanji for allowing us to be instruments in this process. To witness such profound healing and to serve in this way brings a deep sense of fulfilment and reminds me what a precious gift the path of Mai-Tri truly is.
