Glimpses through Mai-Tri

By Deepa R Nair, India

For every Mai-Tri practitioner, the Mai-Tri healing experience is unique. For me, too, my Mai-Tri experiences are deeply personal, very special, and closely connected to my own inclinations and spiritual journey.

My path has always been that of Bhakti. Because of this, during Mai-Tri sessions, I often receive glimpses of the divine form to which the person is connected. Whoever is on the receiving end, I can perceive the divine energy or form they are deeply aligned with. And if they are not connected to any particular form, I am able to sense that as well.

I would like to share two interesting incidents that happened last month.

The first was with Anitha Ramesh, who came for Mai-Tri out of simple curiosity. She is an introvert , and usually, I do not ask people why they have come. I prefer to witness the revelation—what they truly need, which chakra is blocked, and how Mohanji’s energy works through it, penetrating and healing. I don’t create expectations; I enjoy the element of divine surprise.

While doing Mai-Tri for Anitha, the very first thing I saw was a peacock. It was a very clear vision, and I was quite surprised. Throughout the session, I could strongly feel the presence of Lord Muruga. After the session, I told her, “You are deeply connected to Muruga. I could clearly see that during the healing.” Immediately, she started crying. These were tears of pure Bhakti. She later revealed that she has been a long-time devotee of Muruga, regularly observing Skanda Shashti fast and even visiting Palani. She had not mentioned any of this earlier. For her, this became a powerful affirmation of her devotion.

The very next morning, she sent me a message with a photo— a peacock had come to her home. She said it felt like a divine confirmation. Interestingly, the peacock had never appeared at her home before or after that.

The second incident happened a few days before. It was a distant Mai-Tri session for a young woman, the daughter of my friend Sheeja. This girl  is currently working abroad. She is not particularly devotional and does not actively pray.

Even so, during the session, I could strongly feel a deep connection to Shiva within her. When I asked her about it, she initially denied any such connection. She said she doesn’t chant or follow any devotional practices. But I gently asked her if there was ever a time in her life when she had chanted anything. During that group video call, her mother was also present but remained silent.

Slowly, the girl opened up. She shared that as a child, she used to chant Shiva mantras and regularly visited a Shiva temple near her home. She even used to chant the Mahamrityunjaya mantra. However, after growing up, becoming a doctor, and moving abroad, she gradually stopped all these practices.

I think these experiences have deeper lessons.

Since I started doing Mai-Tri, whenever I get the opportunity, I emphasize the importance of Nama Japa or chanting  mantras. It is like engraving something on a rock—once it is carved, it remains forever, unaffected by time or circumstances. In the same way, chanting and connecting with a divine form create a lasting imprint on the soul. That connection never truly disappears; it may only become dormant.

Through Mai-Tri, I feel that I am able to perceive these imprints—perhaps due to my own inclination toward bhakti and chanting. Chanting is one of my favorite sadhanas, and I naturally receive visions during healing. I have had countless such experiences where I could clearly perceive the divine form connected to a person.

Often, the guidance that flows through me—Mohanji’s guidance—relates directly to that form: “Chant that name more. You are already established in that energy. Deepen your connection. And most of the time, that itself becomes the solution.

I am deeply grateful to Mohanji for this precious gift called Maitri. Every time I heal someone, I feel that a part of me is also healed. Almost every session brings new insights, revelations, and learning.

Thank you, Guruparampara, for this sacred gift of Maitri.
